SMARTPLY OSB PERFORMS FOR FESTIVALS

Every year there are hundreds of music, arts and family festivals, from Glastonbury and the V Festival to annual gatherings for folk and ethnic music, and even tribute acts. And as these festivals have grown, so has their use of SmartPly OSB. Over the years, thousands of sheets of FSC certified SmartPly OSB3 have been used by the Glastonbury Festival for flooring, panelling, furniture, signage, hoarding, walkways, and staging.  Many furniture and focal points made from SmartPly get re-used year after year. “We are striving to keep pushing ourselves on the green issues within the festival. All the wood used by the festival is locally sourced and wherever possible it is Forest Stewardship Certified (FSC) suppliers, ensuring it is sustainable sourced,” said the organisers of the Glastonbury Festival.

BoomTown Fair is another hugely popular summer festival which has the added intrigue of being held at a different secret location each year; information which is privy only to those lucky enough, and fast enough, to buy tickets. This summer, SmartPly supplied the festival organisers with SmartPly OSB and SmartPly SiteProtect - OSB3 which has a smooth pre-coated face and edges, to help create the ‘town’ installations throughout the festival.
