SMARTPLY OSB – THE UNCOMPROMISING SUBSTITUTE

With the EU Parliament approving the EU Due Diligence Regulation the case for specifying locally produced FSC certified SmartPly OSB continues to grow. The Regulation proposes to ban illegal timber in the EU. It requires wood companies or companies using wood to perform due diligence on the products that they buy. SmartPly OSB also continues its support as a partner of the “Josbdone” campaign, now in its fifth year. The campaign continues to promote OSB’s high tech production methods, the fact that there are no voids in panels, it is made from certified consistent wood species from FSC sources, has consistent performance when made to EN 300, and has the added benefit of low product transport miles. Since July 2008, the Josbdone website has been visited by over 22,000 people and viewed over 98,000 pages of content. To keep the campaign current and fresh, a new website was launched on 30th June, with the aim of being a more central resource.
