Smartply OSB Floor Used In Prestigious St Pancras Project
The development of St Pancras Station is speeding towards its November
2007 deadline with some help from FSC certified SmartPly OSB Floor.
SmartPly Floor, which comprises a range of products suitable for use in
structural applications, has been used to protect an area of
approximately 5,000 square metres. The arrival and departure areas of
St Pancras Station have been laid with a solid Jatoba floor, currently
being protected from further building works by SmartPly Oriented Strand
Board. The SmartPly flooring has provided a safe, protective working
platform and proved an easy, flexible material to work with. One of
London's leading flooring contractors sourced 18mm SmartPly OSB T&G
flooring from Montague L Meyer for its versatility and strength while
works continue above the Jatoba floor.
St Pancras International is being transformed, setting new standards
for a railway station in the 21st Century. With inspiration from New
York's Grand Central Station, St Pancras will be Europe's destination
station.
On November 14th, 2007, the first Eurostar will leave St Pancras
International on High Speed 1 - cutting journey times to Paris to just
2 hours 15 minutes.
